Antibalas will be supporting The Arcade Fire for four shows this summer in Europe. Tickets are now on sale. Check out the dates below.
The renaissance of soul music in recent years has been fueled and ignited by a musical energy that has exploded out of a tightly knit family of musicians in Brooklyn, New York. In their many incarnations, these individuals help to create the dynamic roster of indie phenomenon Daptone Records. Though each artist has toured internationally and all have earned reputations for incendiary live shows, up until now, the legendary Daptone Super Soul Revue in its full splendor has been an experience rarely seen outside of New York City.
Now, for the first time, this stellar group of artists has gathered en masse and mounted busses to bring this dynamic show on the road. This is not your average label showcase. Soul powerhouses Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Charles Bradley join forces with the afrobeat juggernaut Antibalas for a non-stop extravaganza featuring Master of Ceremonies Binky Griptite and special performances by the Sugarman 3 and Saun & Starr.
Inspired by the high-energy Stax, Motown, and James Brown revues of the past, and presided over by the true standard bearers of today’s soul music, the Daptone Soul Revue is the show that can’t be missed. This is Soul Excitement!

We are inching closer and closer to the release of Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings’ Give The People What They Want but we have two things to help you while you wait.
First things first, NPR Music is streaming the record in it’s entirety today. They had this to say about the album, “Set, as always, against The Dap-Kings’ characteristically springy horns, Jones growls and struts through 10 timeless songs that couldn’t sound better suited to the big stage. It’s to her credit that the studio serves them, too, throughout an album that deftly and efficiently carries out the mission suggested by its title. She wasn’t gone long, thank goodness, but it’s so nice to have her back.”
And if the stream wasn’t enough for you, we are exciting to announce that the brand new video for “Stranger to My Happiness” is premiering today at VEVO. Huge thanks to Rob Hatch-Miller and Puloma Basu at Production Company Productions for their great work on the video.
Enjoy both the stream and video premiere and don’t forget to pre-order Give The People What They Want from the Daptone Super Soul Super Store.
